Last year we began working with Dalton Business Systems to analyse our organisation - workflow, roles, systems - to identify problem areas, document procedures and release the business owners to actually have some time off, and also focus on business growth.

Now, almost 12 months later, I have just had 5 weeks off work (the first installment of long-overdue long service leave) and I now have brain-space to apply focused attention on the expansion of our interstate business.

During my absence over the last 5 weeks, our office staff have competently followed our detailed procedures, including expanding their roles to take on work I had previously been doing.

When I return to work, it will not be in the same role as before (trapped, processing the work) I will be free to focus on business expansion, staff development and system improvement - and I will also have the occasional day off!

Working with Dalton Business Systems FAST-TRACKED our progress through the painful stage of CHANGING from a small business that relies on the owners to know and do everything, to a small business that effectively operates with staff processing the work, allowing the owners to concentrate on business growth.

Shirley Dalton quickly addressed those concerns by working with us to create a Policies and Procedures Manual. She then assisted us to develop and implement systems, which all staff are easily able to follow. As a result, I am now able to delegate more of the administrative tasks associated with my business while ensuring consistency of service. With over 350 people there to "Celebrate" the life of Scott it was a mammoth effort to control the evening. You had the night running very smoothly and kept the organised events happening to the time schedule that you had previously planned.
